Effective Tattoo Removal
At Memphis Laser Clinic, we can assist in removing every type of tattoo – from names to tribal symbols to full sleeves and backs.**
Our laser equipment is effective at assisting the removal of the full spectrum of colors, including blue, black, red, orange, yellow and purple.
Our Advanced Laser Equipment: PicoWay®
Syneron Candela’s FDA cleared PicoWay® advanced laser technology releases extremely quick, powerful pulses, measured in tiny units of time called picoseconds. To put that in perspective, a picosecond is one trillionth of a second, which is 1000x quicker than the nanoseconds in which traditional lasers function.
While the photothermal technology used in traditional laser treatments can only attack large ink particles, the photoacoustic technology used in PicoWay® treatments can destroy even the most minuscule ink particles.
Answers to your most frequently asked questions.
Our advanced laser equipment safely removes tattoo ink from individuals of all races and skin pigmentation. Regardless of your skin type, by applying the correct laser setting over the necessary number of treatments we can effectively remove your tattoo.
It varies from patient to patient depending on the tattoo, skin type and number of treatments. Although there is some pain and discomfort associated with any laser treatment, at the Memphis Laser Clinic we only use the latest laser technology that is most effective and the least painful.
PicoWay® uses an acoustic effect rather than heat to break up the tattoo ink, making the process much more comfortable. Our providers are skilled and take every measure to minimizes the pain and discomfort associated with the treatment.
PicoWay® laser technology focuses carefully on the tattoo, while avoiding damage to other areas of your skin. Directly following laser treatment, you may see some reddening or discoloration in the areas surrounding the tattoo, but this is temporary.
After laser treatment there will be whitening of the treated area, which usually lasts for several minutes. Many patients experience minor bruising or swelling. Blistering while uncommon may occur 8 – 72 hours after treatment. Temporary loss of skin pigmentation may also occur in the treated area.
Healing is usually complete within 8 weeks, although this may vary. Fading of the tattoo will be noticeable as your body heals itself, and you should return to the Memphis Laser Clinic after 8 to 10 weeks to continue the tattoo removal process.
